Wrong Part - Not good
I'll ordered this part thinking this would be the right item for my craftsman lawn mower. I searched the part # and this what came up. When I the item was delivered, I knew off the bat the part was wrong. My lawn mower control level bar is slanted and not straight like this one. I spoke with the Rep and I ordered another one. 1. Remove air filter with a flat screwdriver.
2. Replace air filter, make sure you follow markings on the new air filter.
3. Tighten with a flat screwdriver.
4. Remove spark plug cable and then use a Pliers or socket to remove the Spark plug.
5. Check the gap on the old spark plug and make sure new spark plug is at

6. Insert new spark plug and tighten snug.
7. Loosen Blade control by flexing the handle. slide out cable and then slowly move the blade control out of another side of the handle.
8. Insert right side of blade control into the handle, then insert the cable into the left side and carefully flex handle to get the left side of blade control into the hole.
1) Popped the blade control into the existing holes on the lawnmower handle.
2) With a wrench, take off cover for throttle control.
3) Unhook the cable from the handle, the plate by the control (by squeezing the inside piece you can pull it through), and finally from the throttle control itself.
4) Put new cable on, hoo
... Read morek it through the throttle control and the blade control holes, and secure it.
5) Replace cover and test.
Completely disassembled mower and cleaned all parts. Polished piston and honed cylinder. Changed all fluids and replaced spark plug and air filter. Disassembled and cleaned carb, replaced carb diaphragm and gasket. Set ignition gap and assembled mower. Replaced broken clutch lever. Mower starts first pull and runs strong

Control cable froze up and blade control handle broke.
1. Pulled the old cable off the motor with the pliers.
2. Attached the new cable at the throttle control on the motor.
3. Put the tips of the new blade control in the holes.
4. Attached the cable to its location on the handle.
5. Easy easy easy job.
