I removed the steering wheel and the coller to expose the steering shaft then took off one the nut and bolt that holds the steering shaft assembly to the main steering rod then took off the old steering shaft and put the new one one and replaced it with the new one and put it all together in reverse order.

Remove retaining nuts. One on each end of damage tie rod. Lift broken tie rod free, many need some persuasion. Install new tie rod be putting ends into hole opened up by removal of the old one. Install nuts , tighten and recycle old parts.
