Product Description

?

This genuine carburetor gasket plate is an original replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use in snowblowers by MTD, Yard Machines, Troy-Bilt, Yard Man, and Cub Cadet. Positioned between the carburetor and the choke control bracket, this component is essential for creating a secure, airtight seal that ensures proper engine performance. Made from a thin, durable material, the gasket plate may require replacement if it becomes damaged or worn. This item is sold individually and may require a socket set and pliers for installation. For best results, consult your equipment’s service manual and perform the repair with the engine off and cool.

The Yard Man never seemed to work quite right since the day I bought it but over the course of the winter it had gotten worse and after Googling, I figured it was a bad carb. I was right.

The hardest part was getting at it, but I found two good YouTube videos. One on taking the carb off (that took about two hours). And one o n putting things back together.

It now works better than it ever has. Just in time for summer!

Did my research on-line, and prepared all that would be needed.
Remember all Snowblowers are not equal.
Ordered new Carburetor casket.

Actually performed what was on this video link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9bpqq0AvPA

Some things were different with my machine:
Cover to get to Carburetor, had to remove electric start button, Right Side.
2 Philips head screws.

Primer Button tubing for starting, very difficult to get hose back on, unless you have very small hands. Trick was to just line it up while pushing cover back on, slips right back.

All running smooth now.

Took other\'s recommended proceedure, turned the unit on its side, put a small dollop of grease in the groove to help hold the o-ring in place. Installed the metal bowl, and voila! No leak! Thanks to the others for the suggestion.
