Was leaking fuel around the fuel lines that go from the gas tank to the carb.

1 removed outside plastic covers
2. Removed dirt and fuel from around the motor.
3 removed fuel tank
4 removed old fuel lines and grommets from gas tank
5 replaced fuel lines and grommets Be clean entire trimmer.
6 hooked fuel tank back up attached plastic covers.
7 filled fuel tank and checked for lea ks and started trimmer. Everything works great just like new.

1. Removed engine cover.
2. Removed fuel tank
3. Replaced fuel line and return line
4. Put new fuel filter in tank
5. Replaced tank and cover
6. Installed new spark plug and air filter started right up

hose/tank grommets leaked when trimmer tilted during operation

Removed fuel tank, disconnecting fuel lines.
drained/emptied fuel tank.
Removed priming bulb and fuel lines.
Removed fuel lines and grommets from fuel tank.
Installed new grommets in tank.
installed new lines in tank.
installed new lines to priming bul b.
installed priming bulb and lines.
connected lines to carb.
reinstalled tank.
reinstalled covers and recoil starter assy.
checked all connections and retightened all screws.
fueled the unit.
Started unit checking for leaks, none found.
trimmer ops ck satis.

Anti vibe was broken. The saw is 18 yeas old; the rest was to bring the saw up to grade. like new.

fuel lines and air purge old and brittle (\'09) Husqvarna 223L Trimmer

Removed starter assy housing ( 3allen screws ) just for easier accessability , removed top cover ( 1 allen screw ) - took picture of three fuel lines (routing) - simply removed and replaced all above items mentioned . RUNS GREAT ! Cheaper than buying a new trimmer !

Fuel leaking from grommets.

1. Remove both upper and lower cover. The lower cover had to be removed to get access to the connection of the hose to the carburetor.
2. Remove broken hose by disconnecting it from the carburetor and pulling it through the grommet in the tank.
3. Insert the new hose through the grommet in the tank, cut it square and connec t to the carburetor, trim the other end to length, harvest the old clamp from the old hose, insert the hose over the nipple on the filter and clamp it. Insert the filter and hose inside the tank.
4. Ran very good for one tank full of fuel.

drain fuel tank
remove covers to access carburetor
disconnect linkage on each side of carb
remove carb and fuel line and remains of seal collar
reassemble with new fuel line , seal collar and carb gasket , install covers

1. Removed the shroud and starter rope assembly, 4 torx screws.
2. Removed fuel tank, existing fuel lines and fuel filter, noting the locations for reinstall.
3. Installed new fuel lines and existing fuel filter.
4. Reassembled removed parts, filled with fuel and started. Runs great and no leaks.
