Both of my Milwaukee tools stared smoking before they stopped working. The winding in the motors burnt up.
Remove battery from base of drill. Remove t10 or t9 star screws around cover. Slip off metal clip inside battery compartment.Remove cover being careful not to dislodge components on opposite side. Remove motor and cut red and black wires at old motor terminals.clean ends of wires.connect red wire to motor terminal marked in with red marke
