This is an authentic manufacturer-supplied replacement yoke. It is specially designed for use with Makita drills. In conjunction with an armature, it is the central component of an electric motor. A yoke unit is usually damaged by overloading the power tool, or because of a bad armature. It is highly recommended to replace both carbon brushes when replacing this component. Note, this high-quality item is sold individually. To complete this repair you would need a screwdriver. Make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams for your model for the correct replacement procedure.

Remove screws and take the cover off the drill. Carefully remove armature and yoke assembly from gear assembly and brushes. Slide off damaged yoke, reinstall new yoke and reassemble.
