Removed cover Pulled pipe and took off valve plate but it was really the piston ring which comes with the connecting rod.

Head was cracked and was leaking air during fill phase. Tank would not reach proper psi.

1. remove compressor housing with star bit
2. used adjustable wrench to remove hard line on head
3. used nut driver to remove screws in head and valve
4. installed new head and valve
5. reinstall screws
6. reattach hard line to head
