When using the aluminum rod make sure to disassemble any parts on head that could melt. Heat area of repair to specified rod melting point. Use infrared heat gun to monitor temperature. Used aluminum rod from harbor freight. It has melting point of 710 degrees. Worked great when working temperature was achieved. Welding shop wanted $75 to repair head. Rod was under $20 for eight sticks and used only one.
