Product Description ?

This check valve is used to direct air from the cylinder to the tank, and to prevent air from going back into the pump. It is a genuine OEM part used on air compressors. It features threaded fittings to attach it to the tank, pump, and pressure switch. A faulty check valve can cause the pump to restart even with a full tank, that in turn can overload the motor. This brass part is sold individually, and the tubes are sold separately. Always make sure to drain the tank before beginning the repair.

Saw comment about check valve and unloader
Piece fit exactly. Old part removal required a pipewrench a d extender on handle plus a bit of muscle. Everything works now as it should.

    Compressor check valve
Thank you for new valve no longer available from Craftsman for my compressor. Old one was corroded and causing compressor to trip breaker when trying to start. Works like it’s supposed to again.

Questions & Answers for Check Valve

I have this Craftsman air compressor. When it comes on, it trips the breaker. Does it on a regular basis. Does it sound like the check valve is the problem.
Paul for model number 919165230 asked on 2023-12-08
Hi Paul, Thank you for your question. Yes, you should check this valve and the other valves on the compressor as they may be causing this issue. If the air compressor is tripping the breaker, check the motor as it may be using too much power. Make sure that the air compressor is plugged directly into an outlet that does not share the same circuit as other equipment. If it is, unplug it and make sure that its plugged into an outlet with its own circuit. We hope this helps!

I have a Craftsman air compressor model 919.165510. The tank fills completely but will not shut off the compressor. What part do I need to fix this problem. Thank you
    DAVID asked on 2023-04-08
Hi David, Thank you for your question. If the tank builds pressure, but will not shut off, you will need to replaced the check valve. We hope this helps!
