2.Removed pan with cutting blades to provide better access to bottom of mower.
3. Removed battery and battery rack to provide access to pullies above the transmission.
4. Removed plastic cover over engine to provide access for crow bar to lock rotation of engine so bolt holding pully for variable speed drive belt can be removed.
5. Remove big pully at front of mower under engine. Loosen belt guard for this big pully
5.Release springs on idler pully on upper drive belt and remove pully so belt can be removed.
6. Remove large pully holding upper drive belt and remove upper drive belt and broken variable speed belt.
7. Release spring and one of the pullies that tightens the variable speed belt.
8. Place the variable speed drive belt and the upper drive belt in position and reinstall all of the pullies and other parts that were removed.

Suggest taking a picture of the belt routing before starting.
Removed mower deck
Removed battery to get access to sheaves
Removed sheaves on the motor. instructions stated to use an impact driver but a pipe wrench and breaker bar easily removed the bolt.
Removed sheave for upper belt to install belt.
Removed one of the sheaves under the lawn tractor to route the variable speed belt,
installed belts and reinstalled all the sheaves. Put the battery back and reinstall the mower deck.
