This genuine OEM trigger valve in your nailer or stapler works in conjunction with the head valve. When you press the trigger valve, it creates a pressure difference between the air reservoir and the cylinder and causes the head valve to open and release compressed air to drive the nail or staple into the material you are working on. It is commonly found in the handle or grip area of the tool. If the trigger becomes stiff or difficult to press, the trigger valve may be damaged. To replace the trigger valve, begin by removing the magazine and retainer caps for the nosepiece guard. Take out the nosepiece from the housing and remove the roll pins securing the piston. Pull back the plastic guard on the housing, detach the strap securing the piston, and extract the piston from your tool. You can access and remove the trigger valve by taking out the O-ring and the pin that holds the trigger in place. Before reassembling the housing, remember to apply lubricant to the O-rings.
