The thumb screw broke in half. The flat beaters nylon coating tore at the bottom and food would get stuck in it.

Mainly needed new speed control lever and general cleanup.

1. Dismantled the mixer and cleaned the exterior surfaces.
2. Replaced the damaged speed lever.
3. Repainted the exterior
4. Re-assembled and adjusted phase controller mechanical settings.
5. Also replaced the grease in the gear assembly.
6. There are several good instructional videos to aid in dismantling/re-assembly.
