This is an original part MTD, Yard-Man, Yard Machines, Troy-Bilt and Ryobi part for use with Lawn Tractors. The throttle cable stops the engine when you shift the lever to the Stop position. The most common reason for replacing the throttle control is when the engine doesn’t throttle up when the throttle lever is increased. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the throttle cable are a 3/8 inch socket, ¼ inch socket or nut driver, 5/16 inch socket or nut driver.
