Tools Used

Screwdriver, Pliers, Socket set, Torx screwdriver, needle nose pliers, grease.

1. Remove bolt and retaining pin between the upper and lower drive shaft assemblies.
2. Remove lower drive shaft assembly.
3. Remove all the torx screws on handle and separate the handle plastics.
4. Remove upper drive shaft assembly to gain access to the throttle cable and drum connector.
5. Disconnect electrical connections from main body.
6. Remove retaining bolt from throttle cable mount, remove cable from carburetor assembly.
7. You need to bind up the piston so the crankshaft doesn't turn before removing the screw to the clutch drum. Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDDx2C2lDos for instruction.
7. Remove center screw from drum to engine connection,
8. Remove drum connector from centrifugal clutch.
9. Reinstall in reverse order, cleaning and greasing the drive shaft connections.

The root cause was the spot welds on the friction pad inside the connecting drum broke loose causing the head not to spin. Throttle cable was frayed at time of inspection so that was replaced as well.
