This is an OEM, Yard Machines, Yard Man, Cub Cadet, and MTD part directly sourced from the manufacturer for use in lawn mowers. The throttle body attaches to the throttle lever, the control cable, and the throttle control wire. During replacement, it may require a screwdriver, a set of pliers, and a wrench set to help install this part correctly. It may become broken and will need to be replaced. This is available as an individual replacement part and is made of plastic.

    Part was the correct part. It was an actual OEM part. It arrived one day ahead of schedule. The new part fixed the old lawnmower. I have to replace this part every four years. That is not the fault of eReplacementParts.com. I am glad that eReplacementParts stocks this part! Tip: Take a photo (with your phone) of the old broken part before you install the new part. I took the old part off a couple of days before the new part arrived. I couldn't remember the positioning of the part.

    Removed broken housing using a 7/16" wrench and needle nose pliers. Installed new housing in reverse of disassemble.
    No special instructions were needed.

    bad throttle cable , broken housing throttle control

    Removed bolt from throttle housing , cable & throttle knob. Replaced cable in the new assembly put back on the mower handle , that was it.

    The control cable was pinched and broke the plactic retainer on the throttle body.

    Removed cable and unscrewed throttle body.
    Installed one of the cable on engine the other to the throttle body.
    Screw new body back to handle.
