1.Take out light bulbs
2.Take off deco cover/shield-2 springs keeps it in place
3.Take off power input wire box cover-1 screw on the inside-this is the main power input box to the whole unit
4. Pull out all wires possible-as needed-especially the fuse-carefully
5. Separate the fuse and it's wires from end to end-make certain to view which end is which looking at thermal element inside the clear plastic shield
6. Snip off thermostat wire-end connectors-if the power-in wire is rigid copper wire, instead snip off 2-3 inches away from original connection to save some stranded wire for a wire-nut.
7. Strip original snipped off wire ends in the unit for normal wire-nut connector fits
8. Connect both thermostat wire ends with good wire-nut connectors--make certain to align which end is which of the thermal element inside the clear plastic shield as it was when you started.
9. Replace wires into power input box along with new thermostat, then replace power input box cover with care
10. Replace deco cover, light bulbs(each 250 watt max), turn on power, done!
Heat lamps and fan stop working even when still getting power.

Everything that came up, pointed to the thermostat wire, so I found the wire on my bath fan and ordered a new one.
Once it arrived I changed it out and both light sockets worked again.
Pretty easy task after watching a how to video on YouTube too.
