This item shuts down power to the heating element if the dryer is overheating. This part is sold individually. However, it is also included in the thermostat assembly (6931EL3001E). A screwdriver may be required for the repair.

Hello Joan, thank you for the question. This model does not have a fuse. We suggest testing the Thermostats and Thermistor with a Multimeter to check the continuity. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

I had to totally disassemble the dryer, all the way to removing the drum. This is not to difficult if you use a video tutorial.
The thermostats were easy to replace.
Ensure you put the belt back on, before you reassemble or you will have to disassemble again to reinstall the belt. I'm speaking from experience here!
