This is an authentic OEM sourced part which is specially designed for DeLonghi equipment. The thermostat is used to monitor the heat level in the machine, unfortunately, over time it may wear out or get damaged eventually requiring a replacement. Keep in mind this high-quality component is sold individually. To ensure the proper repair procedure, refer to the appropriate diagrams for your model. Note, this is a 105-degree limit thermostat, the 125-degree thermostat is sold separately.

    Screwdriver, Pliers, Tamper proof torx drive

    Removed top of machine by unscrewing 4 tamper proof torx head screws.
    Removed both of the original thermostats by disconnecting wires from thermostats and disconnecting mounting bracket from boiler.
    Connected two new thermostats to existing wires and attached thermostats/mounting bracket to boiler
    Replaced top of machine

    Coffee maker stopped heating water.

    Removed old thermostats (thermostat 125 had visibly failed, replaced both anyway)
    Replaced top cover
    Made coffee!

    Espresso machine would not heat water

    1. Remove the four screws and steam control knob to expose heating element.
    2. Disconnect existing thermostat.
    3. Reuse or replace thermal grease while replacing thermostat
    4. Re-connect thermostat
    5. Re-assemble and make spouse an espresso and restore marital harmony

    The water was cold

    1. Opened it up
    2. Carefully took our the two thermostats
    3. Replaced them -- its a tight space
    4. Put it back together
    5. Ran a lot of clean water through it
    6. Made a cup of coffee

    We took the top of the machine off...We located the 2 thermostats, we checked which was which and took off the old ones, put in the new ones...and working perfectly it is again....
