Remove the battery and remove right half of pistol grip. Using a multi-meter on ohms or a continuity meter, test across switch terminals. If no reading, move reverse switch and try again. If no reading again, replace switch. If readings are obtained, check the wiring further; switch to brush and switch to battery terminals. Also, remove brushes and check brushes and armature for carbon deposits. If only a quarter of brush remains, replace them and clean armature with fine emery cloth. Switches are a very common failure point but be aware, they are expensive on this Milwaukee tool so be certain it IS the switch. Reassemble, install battery and check for sparking at armature/brush contact. Very little or no sparks is good but redo the brushes and re clean armature if lots of sparking.
