I had previously tried using duct tape to "grab" hold of the face of the burned out bulb that was flush on the under surface of the range hood to for removal, however, this never worked. This suction cup tool was able to provide a powerful enough hold on the face of the bulb allowing me to easily turn it for removal. Also, I prefer using this tool to eliminate any chance of having tape residue on the face of the bulb.
