Blower starter chord broke and spring was sprung.

Not hard to do but time consuming. Had to take blower/vacuum housing off, separate both halves of plastic shroud, remove motor, take off fan, replace spring and starter pulley then reassemble. I think the only tools required was a phillips screwdriver and one socket. Replacing the starter cord and spring cannot be done without disassembling the blower. I replaced the starter pulley and spring while I had it apart. Could have used the old spring by bending it but didn't want to have to go through the disassembly/reassembly again in a few months. Now my $100.00 blower from 16 years ago should be ready for a few more years.

Replaced recoil spring/container, replaced rope on NEW spool due to unusual wear where spring catches spool, rewound spring tension additional 2 turns clockwise and secured spool . Replaced covers and everything works great! Jim G.

Weed trimmer recoil spring came out of it's holder when I took it apart. The rope wasn't retracting right was the reason I took it apart in the first place.

I tried to put the rope recoil spring back into it's holder and found out it's almost impossible. The cost for a new one was cheep and while I had it apart, I replaced the rope and the rope holder as they were cheep. Good to go now.
