Arm brake was damaged from belt pulley when mandrel broke at the deck mounting

2. Put belt pulley back on mandrel.
3. Installed new arm brake.
4. Installed new extension spring from arm brake to bracket on deck. I used a screwdriver as a lever to stretch the spring to get it into place on the bracket. This was the most difficult part of the repair since I did not a a spring stretching tool like those used for stretching springs on drum brakes on cars.
L/H side mandrel cracked after impact with concrete side walk.
