This authentic item is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Snapper and Simplicity riding lawn mowers and garden tractors. It is one of the covers for the cushion holder springs. The cover is designed to protect it from dust and other debris which can compromise its functionality. Over time it may wear out or crack eventually requiring a replacement. Refer to the diagrams of your model for the exact location of this component. Replacing it is a simple task that should not require any special tools, simply pull off the old cover and press on the new one. One durable rubber part is included. Note, the spring itself is not included, it is sold separately.

One step at a time. Installed deck cables checking both sides to make sure they were set the same. The seat springs was just a matter of installing the springs in the location designated.

Used a screwdriver to push cover in to clear tab to remove it. Squeezed new one and pushed in.

2 Pressed off old bearing and removed disc and coupling
3 Installed new parts on shaft
4 Put parts on mower
5 Left parts loose and turned motor over to self a line
6 Tighten everything up
