    SPOOL AND CAP
The parts were packed to prevent damage and arrived in perfect condition. The spool fit onto the drive shaft was very tight even after applying some lubricant. Nice replacement parts.

I took off the Outer Housing and Cap I ordered a new (Upgrade Kit. Outer Housing, Eyelets, Lever). After I removed the phillips head screw, it took some strength to pull off the old housing, I also used a flat head screw driver to assist.
Once off after trying to place the new outer housing on several times, I couldn't get it to go all the way down so you can screw it on. I noticed a line on the housing and I lined it up to where it may match up perfectly after pushing it on again it slid into place all the way down. I then placed the screw on and the spool and started it up and it trims like new.
Very pleased and the parts came really fast.

    Thanks.

you must e patience when replacing that housing, now that i did it i know how to line it up with no problem

"E" replacements is wonderful, and I will use again. Poor design by Black and Decker. Should have been a bolt off bolt on replacement. The bolt supplied was the same size as the original on. 3/4" is not long enough. The housing came off on first use, and flew across the lawn. At the end of the bolt, the last threads were damaged. I re-tapped the hole 10-32 thread and put in a longer bolt with lock tight. The factory bolt was way too short. The trimmer has a lot of torque, and everything is working great. "E" replacements is GREAT. Really easy to order, real fast delivery, and the right parts. The problem with the bolt was not due to E replacements. It is a factory flaw.
