Hex flange bearing failed stripping the steering pinion gear.

1.Remove the deck.
2.Remove the pinion gear.
3.Drop the plate above pinion gear to access hex bearing.
4.Install new hex bearing.
5.Reinstall plate.
6.Put the pinion gear on.
7.Reinstall the deck.

Socket set, Wrench Set, Air impact wrench

1. Removed the deck.
2. Removed the pinion gear and the flange bearing.
3. Replaced gear and bearing and reassembled the steering unit.
4. Centered up the steering wheel and set the steering gear so it would have equal steering when turning the steering wheel from left to right.

Removed the deck and the fuel tank. Disassembled the steering pinion, replaced the bushing and the pinion gear. Reassembled.
