We took the carburetor off & removed the bowl to check to see if the float was moving freely ! When we found it that it was we then took off the fuel solenoid which some people called an atomizer back in the day & replaced with your new part !!! The fuel now gets to the sparkplug & combustion occurs with the cylinder !!! My 91 yr old father has been working on Briggs & Stratton motors & Craftsman lawnmowers for six & a half decades or more so that helped !!! LOL
