This authentic OEM sliding bracket assembly in your band saw helps you guide and adjust the position of the blade during operation. This assembly includes the sliding bracket, the knob and shaft, the tracking hinge, the adjustment knob, the upper wheel axle, the tension spring, the indicator, and the adjustment nut. Covered by the wheel guard, the sliding bracket measures approximately 13-1/2 inches long. Consider replacing the sliding bracket assembly if you notice issues such as a cracked tracking hinge, loss of tension in the tension spring, or a bent wheel axle. These issues can lead to inaccurate cuts, difficulty in adjusting the blade, or even compromised safety during operation. To replace it, start by removing the blade from the bandsaw. Pull the table alignment pin and the table insert, then loosen the blade tension to disengage it from the tires. Proceed to detach the upper wheel, followed by the upper wheel guard. Remove the screw and plate from the blade guard, to release it and access and remove the plastic bolt. Remove a few more screws to free the wheel guard. With the wheel guard gone, the sliding bracket assembly can be pulled away from the saw. Install the new sliding bracket assembly, ensuring the tab on the indicator aligns with the groove in the bracket. Slide the new assembly into the upper casting of the saw, and then reassemble your machine accordingly.
