This sleeve is an OEM direct from DeWALT. Constructed of durable metal, the sleeve is compatible with several screwdriver devices. This part is fitted between the washer and spring in the nose cone, securing the anvil assembly. The sleeve is sold individually. A hex key may be necessary in the removal and replacement.

parts in order, installed new parts suggested in reverse order and tool is like
brand new, took maybe ten minutes including sips of coffee. I already have

2. Remove the quick release thumb sleeve.
3. Remove the collar below the thumb sleaze. The spring and bearing should stay in place.
4. There is a retaining clip below the collar. In my case this was not in it's grove on the shaft.
5. Pull up on the shaft, while pushing down on the retaining clip below the lower collar to lock it in place.
6. Reassemble in reverse order.
Be careful if you take off the retaining clip there are free floating bearings under the washer that will fall out.
