    Remove broken shear pins and cotter pins from the machine. Line up the holes in the auger and the shaft and insert shear pins and secure them with the cotter pins. And get spares

    Replace shear pin through the auger and shaft, then attach the cotter pin. And away we go. Just that easy

    Snowblower drive handle lever spring snapped

    1. Remove handle bolt with socket wrench.
    2. Remove bolt.
    3. Extract broken spring.
    4. Slide in new spring, hook spring in slot in handle.
    5. Reinsert bolt, tighten
    6. Done.

    shear pin gone and the shave plate was worn out

    Shear pin was just replaced. Pliers required to insert cotter pin to secure in place.

    The shave plate was worn out and thus required either a wrench set or socket set to remove the bolts holding the plate on. Once removed the new plate was installed by using the old bolts to reattach the plate. takes about 30 min if experienced or about 45 if not familiar with this type of job.

    the worm gear was broken

    separated the auger part of the snowblower, took apart the gear section, installed new worm gear and reassembled the unit. wasn't as bad as I thought it might be, I just had to remember to get everything back on in order

    Socket set, Wrench Set, solvent brush for cleaning out the gear box

    1. split snow blower in half, 4 bolts.. took pictures of v belts.
    2, removed drive pulley nut
    3. removed 4 mounting bolts for the spiral assembly.
    4. pulled assembly and gear box out.
    5. removed shear pins and pulled all 4 spirals off shaft
    6. split the gear box and removed the damaged worm gear and cleaned gear box case.
    7. packed both case halves with light grease and installed new gear and keeper.
    8. applied new gasket material and mated both sides together.
    9. installed new shave plate and new carriage bolts.
    10. welded new feet on the skid shoes.
    11. painted all bare metal
    12. assembled spiral assembly and auger unit in reverse.
    13. had a friend help and we mounted auger to the drive unit.
    note: great place to buy parts, my sales lady was fantastic helping me choose the best manufacture for each part I needed for faster delivery time. Now! that Rocks!

    Slide shoes worn and one reel shear pin broken

    replaced the slide shoes, adjusted to specs. and replaced the shear pin and clip pin on the reel. had a couple of new carriage bolts and nuts if needed but the old ones were not so rusty so I've got spares.
