    Easy install and works great
Easy replacement grip pad for sander. Just peel off backing and press in place. Now grip sanding disks so tight had to use putty knife to help pull them off. Very good upgrade.

Questions & Answers for Conversion Pad

looking to make my 4 1/2 square Rybobi sander a "hook & loop" . Do you have a 'hook & loop' pad??? seems like it would be popular since everyone sells teh hook & loop paper
    Tim asked on 2023-04-18
Hi Tim, Thank you for your question. Before we can provide you with information on the hook and loop pad, we will need the model number from the sander. The model number will be found on a warning label with the Ryobi logo in the upper left corner. The model number will be to the right of it. We hope this helps!

My 5" orbital sander was kicking back REALLY hard

I was sanding a door for re-staining, and my 5" orbital sander was gripping down and kicking back at me, to a point that I was struggling to keep it from flying off the door.
Simply tightening the screws down would have fixed the wobbling, but upon inspection, there were some basic maintenance repairs that needed to be made.
I found the pad was loose and wobbling, causing uneven force and undue kickback. I also found my brake was broken.
My parts arrived within 48 hours and simply removing the 4 screws in the pad of the sander allowed me to remove the broken brake, slip on the new one, replace the conversion pad and get back to work, wobble free.
Given this was one of my 1st large sanding jobs, I didn't realize until I repaired the sander how badly it had been malfunctioning before.
I now know that sanding should be relatively effortless, and difficulty and resistance is a sign of malfunctioning equipment.

Took the hook and loop replacement disc I purchased through you and attached it to my PSA sander in under 2 minutes. Let it adhere to the sander pad for 24 hours and VOILA.....it now takes hook and loop discs and works GREAT!!!!! WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG!!!!

Removed original pad by removing 4 screws. Then I peeled the old hook and loop material off the pad with pliers. Sanded the original pad smooth and cleaned with solvent. After it dried I peeled the backing off the replacement I purchased and pressed it on to the original pad. Then replaced on sander with the same 4 screws. Works great, better than original. PS, I used this on a Dewalt sander so they work on multiple brands.

First I cleaned off the old sander pad by sanding it against a piece of sandpaper and finished cleaning it with denatured alcohol. Next I attached the new pad lining up the holes. Let it set overnight then cut off excess with a utility knife. I put this 5 inch pad on my old Ryobi RS112 orbital sander which is 4 1/2 inch. The dust holes lined up. The only thing different was there were no holes for the screws. I feel sure I could locate those screw holes if I needed to.
    Saved an old sander.
