This part is an Authentic OEM replacement part for a Whirlpool Dishwasher. The tines are the prongs that stick up on the dishwasher and holds the dishes upright and in place for washing. This part is made of metal with a rubber coating, over time the loading and unloading of dishes can wear the coating down and cause the metal underneath to rust. To avoid the transfer of rust onto your dishes it is suggested that the tines be replaced. This requires the use of no tools just slightly and carefully bend the tine row to pop out of place of the supports and insert the new tine row into the supports and snap into place. This item is an individually sold part.
