This authentic manufacturer-supplied rounded roller is specially made for use with Snapper and Simplicity riding lawn mowers and garden tractors. It is a special component which helps to support the deck. This is an identical replacement for a missing or a damaged part that was installed on a new unit. Refer to the appropriate diagrams for your model to ensure the proper repair procedure. One durable component is included. Keep in mind the hardware to secure it is sold separately.

Roller bores worn out

Pliers, Power Drill, Wrench Set, Welder and grinder

Remove the shaft that holds all the rollers. This fits on the back of the deck purpose is to keep the back of the deck following the contour of the ground.

After taking it apart I found that eight inches of the shaft were worn. Cut it out and welded a new piece in, fortunately it only had to be done on one side.

Had to drill a new whole for Carter pin that holds the bowler on. I previously did this on both sides because I didn't like the snap-on round clip

Installed the new blades and roller, reversing the process.

Replaced grips

Remove and replace grips with soapy water. Remove the push nut, then remove the old rounded roller. Install the new rounded roller and attach the push nut.

SEE ABOVE. CUT ROLLER TO LENGTH AND SLIDE ON W/WASHER. DRIVE LOCK NUT ON W/ HAMMER.

Roller would not turn, bottom of roller was ground flat when I received the mower.

1. Removed cap on the roller shaft.
2. Cleaned shaft, and lubricated shaft.
