I first power washed engine clean of any dirt and oil. Then I removed engine and attaching parts. I removed sump and found the #2 rod was broken. I then removed the #2 head pushed my piston out and seen there wasn't any damage to it. I then removed the#1 head and released the rod and removed the piston and rod. I then removed the crank to inspect for aluminum smear or transfer to the crank. I have learned a little trick in removing the aluminum transfer from the iron crank. I use an acid to eat the aluminum off the crank then I buff out. Then I put new parts on the original crank and resembled engine and placed engine back on machine. Repair went awesome
