2.looked to see what was holding the other rollers in place
3. googled retainer clips for older small simplicity rear engine riding mower anti scalp roller
4.discovered ereplacementparts.com and entered the same search criteria
5. found out that snapper and simplicity use the same retainer clips for the same application
6. once the clips arrived it took 5 minutes to install the inside flat washer the roller the outside flat washer and finally the retainer clip that fits into a machined groove on the roller shaft.
7. crimped the retainer securely into the groove with a pair of channel lock pliers then good to go!
