    Opened hood, pushed up steering rod from bottom and inserted new clip in steering rod. Done!

    Pulled up steering wheel to reveal the tiny hole through the column and placed the end of the retainer clip through the hole. You will need a flashlight to see the tiny hole.

    Lawn Tractor steering was bad

    1. Removed steering wheel cap removed bolt and washer
    2. Removed bolts on gear sector plate.
    3. Removed tie rods from gear sector plate
    4. Removed bolts from bushing
    5. Removed steering shaft
    6. Installed steering shaft
    7. Installed bushing, and gear and Gear sector plate and retainer spring
    8. Replaced new bolts and washers
    9. Installed new washer and nut
    10. Replaced steering cap, completed job

    Husqvarna repair shop put a clevis pin on the steering shaft. that caught on a bolt.

    The Retainer Clip Spring is DEFINITELY the right part Open the hood,. Removed the clevis pin and slid in the retainer clip. No more wrestling the steering wheel to make a turn
