Tired of trying to wrap new trimmer line? Not sure which size of line to buy? If so, you need a replacement spool. The replacement spool consists of a new plastic spool pre-loaded with the correct size (and amount) of trimmer line for your trimmer. The replacement spool eliminates the hassle of trying to wind and replace the trimmer line when your trimmer runs out.
Let's get started.
REMOVING THE AUTO-FEED SPOOL 1. Remove the auto-feed spool.
a. Depress the plastic tabs on (both) sides of the cover.
b. Pull the cover away from the trimmer head.
c. Remove the spool from the trimmer head.
INSTALLING THE NEW AUTO-FEED SPOOL
2. Install the auto-feed spool.
a. Pull the end of the trimmer line out of the slot on the new spool. (Keep hold of the line to prevent it from unwinding).
b. Thread the end of the trimmer line through the eyelet in the trimmer head (from inside to outside).
c. Install the new spool onto the trimmer head.
d. Rotate the spool (slowly) until the tab on the lever engages the slot on the underside of the spool.
3. Reinstall the cover.
a. Align the locking tabs on the cover with the openings on the sides of the trimmer head.
b. Install the cover onto the trimmer head.
