Tools Used

Screwdriver, Pliers

1/ Remove recoil housing
2/ Remove pull rope and pulley
3/ Remove old broken recoil spring
4/ Clean well
5/ Very very carefully insert new recoil spring with retainer ring aligning outer hook into recess.
6/ Very very carefully push out new recoil spring from retainer ring into housing. lube spring with oil.
7/ Rewind rope onto pulley, inset pulley into housing, lube with thin grease.
8/ Tension spring 1 1/2 turns, hold, pass rope through hole and attach puller handle.
9/ Test recoil and reattach onto trimmer.
10/ Remove spark plug and test.
