The Drain Pump is an authentic manufacturer-sourced replacement part which is specially designed for use with Electrolux and Frigidaire washers. This part is the pump and motor assembly. It’s a 120 volt, 60 hertz drain pump that removes the water from the tub of your washer once the washing cycle is complete. It also includes a red flapper to prevent drain backflow. Tools required for the repair: Phillips screwdriver, a putty knife, a pair of slip joint pliers, and a 5/16 nut driver. To install this part you will need to first remove the front panel of your washer to access the drain pump. Please note before starting on this repair make sure to disconnect the water supply from the washer.

Open top of washer and remove front cover to access pump w/screwdriver
Remove inlet hose from tub to pump w/ pliers and catch water in lines and pump
Remove clamp w/ pliers and hose to external drain
Remove electrical plug from pump
Remove mounting screws from base w/ nut driver
Install new pump install mounting screws w/nut driver
Reconnect electrical plug
Connect both hoses
Install front cover and close top of washer Reconnect to wall plug
