The impeller belt tightening pulley came off of the shaft, which caused the idler pulley to be destroyed and the impeller belt destroyed.

Parts Used
Fixing the machine was actually easy. Figuring out how to get it apart was difficult. It seemed that it was impossible to get the belt onto the impeller main pulley without taking the two halves of the machine apart. I separated the motor half and the snow auger half, which sort of exploded apart due to unsupported weight causing several components to fly off. Then I could put the belt onto the impeller pulley and reassemble the two halves of the snow blower. Putting the new idler pulley on was easy. It is held on by a bolt and nut which I crimped into position so it would not come apart again. Then put all of the covers back on and tested the machine. Worked perfectly.
