2. I was unable to pull hub from shaft of my 30-year old snowblower.
3. A friend and I used a gear pull and hammer to pull on hub until it broke an ear off.
4. Then we used a grinder to score the hub and hammer and cold chisel to split the hub off the shaft.
5. Used a bitch file and sand paper to clean up the shaft to accept the new bearing and hub.
6. Used a heavy hammer, cold chisel, torch, and vise grips to remove the Woodruff Key. 7. Ordered replacement hub. Had previously ordered bearing and retaining collars.
8. Replacement hub did not in life set crews or bolts for pulley. I was able to reuse the old set screws. Purchased new bolts at local hardware store.
9. Put it back together.
10. Saved $999 on new unit.
