Shoe on 25 year old Bosch jig saw broke

    Jim - January 13, 2018
    Tool Type

    Jig saw

    Difficulty

    Easy

    Time

    Tools Used

    Screwdriver, allen wrench

1-Used the allen head wrench that is attached to the power cord to remove the old shoe and vacuum tube.
2-Put the replacement in and tightened the allen screw.
3-Screwed the new plastic foot in place with the 6 screws that came with the replacement.
4-Unscrewed the allen head again because I forgot to put the vacuum attachment back in first.
5-Set the vacuum "tube" back in.
6-Replaced the shoe and tightened the allen screw.
7-Realised I could have skipped steps 4, 5 and 6 if I would have been paying attention to what all I did in step 1. But I was so excited that could even get a replacement shoe for a 25 year old tool and in a matter of days.
