Bostitch DeWALT

Product Description ?

This genuine manufacturer sourced replacement piston stop is specially produced for Porter Cable nailers. This part acts as a cushion when the driver retracts back into the cylinder after being fired. Because this part gets so much abuse, over time it will break apart. Please note, this plastic piston stop is sold individually.

To complete this repair you will need a hex key/allen wrench.

• Remove the end cap
• Remove the old stopper
• Secure the new stopper
• Reassemble and test the nailer

Arrived quickly and in excellent shape. Took about 15 minutes to make the repair and get the gun working again. On a related note, EReplacementParts is my go to source for fixing my 20 year old Ryobi weed wacker, 14 year old Honda mower and 10 year old Echo chain saw! Amazing they have this capability!

    Repair work
Fixing n80sb-1 nail gun. When you open a nail gun up for repair take the thing apart. I saw the first thing was the cylinder seal was shot and stopped bought a ring kit. Got it installed. Gun didn't work. Took it back apart. Piston stop came out in a hundred pieces. So had to order the piston stop separate. Good price and service. Gun up and running perfect wasted a week not checking everything.

Remove the top of the nail gun, and found that the piston stop was broken. I made sure that I was able to find all of the broken pieces and clean out the inside of the gun. I then replaced the broken piston stop and oiled the internal parts, then replaced the top cap of the nail gun. And now it works like it was new again.
