Genuine Hitachi replacement part, this item is sold individually.
This O-Ring is place in the groove in the piston in all the tool models listed below.
Its purpose is to create a seal in the cylinder, so when the trigger of the tool is activated, will push the driver and piston assembly down and sink the fastener that is being used.
Some of the tools listed offer an O-ring kit that would have all the essential O-rings in it.

    Leaking air from exhaust pirt

    Removed head
    Removed exhaust deflector
    Replaced all pets in head
    Hard time removing part on outside of cylinder so I could replace o-ring between cylinder.
    Found taped holes in part I couldn’t remove, screwed in two screws from head removal and could pull part out.
    Replaced cylinder o-ring
    Put back together
    Still leaked from exhaust port
    Disconnected from air supply and reconnect to air supply while holding trigger down.
    Heard plop of driver returning to top
    Air leak quit and stapler works great
    Don’t know if any of the parts repaired the leak, moral of the story, try connecting to air supply while holding trigger

    1 remove head cap to replace driver o-ring. 2 remove nose piece to replace bumper sheet. 3 remove guard and pin to replace feeder spring.4 replace guard

    Piston driver not returning

    Replaced bumper sheet and piston -o- ring , replaced damaged gaskets ( top and bottom) .
    Applied grease where needed, assembled and tested. Worked perfect.

    Air nailer leaked air thru top of gun

    1. Removed exhaust cover and head cap
    2. Removed cylinder and cleaned out housing
    3. Replaced O-rings, exhaust valve, and head cap
    4. Reassembled nailer

    Driver broke

    Removed head of stapler and tapped old driver out. Replaced o-ring on piston and installed new driver assembly and head gasket. Piece of cake! Half the price of bringing it to a tool shop.
