Engine wouldn’t start with out pouring gas down carb

2. Replaced pick up tube.
3. Cleaned fuel tank. Tank had rust filled with evapo rust and let sit over night and turned out alright.
4. Replaced carb gasket to tank. And replaced intake gasket to engine.
5. Installed new air cleaner. It was missing
6. Replaced carb jet.
7. Put gas in tank and started and adjusted jet.
Edger motor tune up, some one locked tighted the points & condenser screws.

Removed old oil, place new oil in crank case,
Replace points that were locked tighted inplace, had to heat screws to remove, and the condenser screw had to be drilled out and retaped. Cleaned flywheel and coil to get a good spark.
replaced plunger and fly wheel key. Timed an set points .020
replaced spark plug and set to .o30. adjusted fast idle jet, edger now runs well and edges nicely. I'm out of room so have a nice day!
