    Socket set, Snap ring plires

    Remove the rear wheels by unscrewing the bolts holding them on
    Remove the retaining rings from the shaft and remove the worn gears
    Install the new gears on the shaft, install the retaining rings
    Install the new wheel on the shaft and tighten up the bolts to hold the wheels on

    Snap rings were broken, cogs inside rear wheels worn, and knobs on wheel adjustment were broken

    Removed the rear wheels, cleaned area, filed out snap ring grove, installed pinion gears, installed snap rings, and installed wheel. Installed two new nuts in frame to hold rear cover with the screws. All a simple process. You shipped the correct parts on a timely basis. Back cutting grass.

    Pulled both rear wheels. Replaced the pinion gear, reinstalled both rear wheels, but in doing so you have tut o make sure all parts are realigned properly

    I replaced both gears. One was seized and I had to use a gear puller to remove the old gear. The other gear came off easily by just pulling with my hand. I cleaned both axels and the gears were easily installed. Do not over expand the clips that secure the gears. I broke one clip and had to go find a replacement. Slightly expand the clip and pull straight out. They are easy to remove. I used C clip pliers by the way.

    1. Remove 2 rear wheels.
    2. Remove snap rings from each axle.
    3. Remove damaged gears and install new ones.
    4. Put snap rings back on.
    5. Put wheels back on.
    Note- the snap rings are small. The first one I took off flew away and it took me 10 minutes to find it. Otherwise this would be a 15-30 minute job.

    Left rear wheel wouldn't drive

    The gear teeth on the pinion gear chipped and wore out after 24 cuttings.

    2. Removed the o-ring.
    3. Put the new pinion gear on.
    4. Reattached the o-ring.

    1. Took the rear wheels off, one side at a time.
    2. Removed the snap ring and the old pinion gear.
    3. Installed the new gear with a little spray of white lithium grease for extra security.
    4. Put the wheel back on to finish the job.
