put the universal block in with the shute handle, put the pins in to hold it,bingo it's fixed. Only thing is I wasn't sure if they carried the cotter pin I needed, but had one in my supply box and that was it.

    1. Remove the chute bolts and the chute.
    2. Lift out the inner retainer ring.
    3. Remove the 4 bolts that hold the chute mounting flange.(this was the hardest part of the repair, because the heads of the bolt are partly covered.
    4. Remove the outer retainer ring and flange plate.
    5. exchange the chute worm gears
    6. Set the new outer retainer ring and place the chute flange inside the retainer ring.
    7. Install all 4 bolts then tighten all 4 bolts
    8. install the inner retainer ring.
    9. Align the bolt holes, making sure the outer retainer is in the proper position to rotate 180 degrees.
    10. start the 4 bolts through the inner and outer retainers, with the bolt at the back and front of the chute are all the way through, but the 2 side bolts are flush with the outside of the outer retainer ring.
    11. install the chute and start the nut on the front and back bolts. then push the side bolts through and install the nuts.
    12. Tighten the nuts but do not over tighten them.
