Genuine OEM replacement part, this part is sold individually. This filter is used on the outdoor power equipment shown below. The purpose of this filter is to keep dust, dirt and other debris from entering the carburetor and engine, which could damage them. This type of filter is not one that can be cleaned, so it can perform its purpose properly. Filters do have a tendency to become dirty often. It is advised to order an extra one or two, to keep on hand.

It all started with the purge bulb failure on the bottom of the carburetor. I replaced that first and couldn\'t draw any fuel into the bulb. I then realized that the rubber fuel line and grommet and pretty much dissolved. I disconnected the two lines connected to the carburetor. loosened the screws holding the handle and removed the fuel
... Read moretank from the Shred n Vac. I then removed all the fuel lines, filter and vent from the fuel tank and replaced all of the components. I then proceeded to reinstall the tank with the two screws tighten the handle and hook up the fuel lines to the carburetor. I replaced the spark plug and air filter element, purged some fuel to the carb and within two pulls hand it running like a charm. One note I would like to make is that I utilized a dab of grease to hold the two back washers for the fuel tank to the tank to ease re-installation of the fuel tank.
1. Remove Carb assembly.
2. Lay out on a white towel with a shop light over head. The parts are hard to see.
3. Take detailed pics of carb disassembly. and lay parts out in order.
4. Spray carb cleaner in all jets. If its bad soak overnight in ultra sonic cleaner. You can get one from your local discount tool seller f

5. Put back to together.
6. Follow manufactures adjustment procedure. If you have good compression and spark it will fire right up.
7. Only use non-ethanol gas premix. Trust me my equipment starts year after year after a good rebuild and only using premix going forward. Your carb diaphragms will last many season vs one. and 2 or 3 pulls to start.

Trimmer would start but not stay running, occasional fuel line disconnect.
1. Took the cover off the air filter and removed the filter (one screw).
2. Removed entire fuel supply assembly from fuel tank (fingers)
3. Replaced fuel filter on one end placed fuel line through the stopper and pushed fuel line back on carb.
4. Replaced fuel tank vent and pushed vent line through hole into tank.
