This is an authentic manufacturer-sourced replacement lower guard assembly which is specially designed for use with Ryobi compound miter saws. This part helps to direct dust and trimmings away from the user as well as provide protection from the blade while operating the equipment. It is a high-quality component which is made of durable clear plastic with a metal link-arm and it is sold individually.
1. Removed old guard, but saved metal slide bar.
2. Modified new lower guard center mount by drilling out rivet on slide bar, and filing the left anchor hole to widen it so as to line up with the original mounting hole.
