Product Description

?

This fuel pipe is a genuine Echo replacement part. It is supplied directly from original equipment manufacturer for use with gas powered backpack blowers. The purpose of this in-tank pick up line is to supply fuel from the tank to carburetor. It is the line that the fuel filter is attached to. It is made out of flexible rubber material and it is sold individually. Over time the fuel lines tend to deteriorate allowing for leaks, at this point they would need to be replaced.

Dumped all fuel into a gas can. Used a wire shepherd\'s hook that I made from a hangar, and used it to pull the fuel pipe to the tank opening and popped it out of the tank. Then, removed the grommet using a wide blade screwdriver to get it started out of its seat. Once there, I removed the fuel pipe, fuel line & return, and pulled the brass lines from the old grommet.

Reassembly with new components is simply the same in reverse order. Once completed, install new fuel filter and use the shepherd\'s hook to move the fuel pipe/filter to its original position in the tank.

Followed eReplacementParts video, a couple of YouTube videos, and the backpack blower owner manual to complete all repairs. Several bolts were rusted when I disassembled the blower parts. I sprayed them with Seafoam Deep Creep penetrating oil to clean them before I reassembled on the blower. Before I ordered the parts from eReplacement Parts.com, I had the Echo re-power parts (new spark plug, new fuel filter, new air filter). Changing these parts didn\'t do anything to fix the issue with the engine dying. While changing the other parts and performing routine maintenance, I found that the exhaust gasket, insulator and fuel pipe all needed to be replaced. I ordered all of these parts plus a new carburetor from eReplacementParts.

All of the parts received from eReplacementParts were OEM parts and high quality. The new carburetor completely fixed the issue I was having with the blower and it is running just like when it was new.
