This part is used on the carburetor for gas powered blowers to restrict the flow of air, thereby enriching the fuel-air mixture. Because this part is used quite frequently it has a tendency to wear. To replace it, simply press it on the Choke Shaft of the carburetor.

Remove the carburetor cover. Pull the old lever off with pliers, line up the new lever, then simply press in on. Replace the carburetor cover.

I removed the choke/run guard, removed the broken stem of the old lever and pressed on the new one. It took me about 3 minutes.

Remove the air cleaner housing, by hand, no tools needed, and simple press the choke lever on to the d shaped choke shaft, now replace the air cleaner housing, it snaps on. Done!

Pulled off the air filter cover, replaced air filter, then pried off the broken choke lever and slid new one in place. Replaced spark plug. Super easy and well worth doing. Runs much better now and easier to start.
